Lets Have A Kiki!

By now you guys know that I'm bad at writing, which is the reason why I'd rather tell my stories
through photography. On September 8th and 9th, Barangay Los Angeles will be at FPAC (Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture) which will be held in San Pedro.
Greg and I will be hosting a workshop on Sunday from 12:30pm to 1:30pm.
Speaking is another thing I'm not very good at. I've asked Greg if I can just stand next to him
and nod once in a while in agreement to whatever he says.
He said no.

For now I've forced myself to look at it differently. Workshop sounds so intimidating.
So I'm inviting you guys to join Greg and I along with a few people we've highlighted on Malaya Project and have a Kiki with us at FPAC! We'll be discussing what Malaya Project is about and
the whole process we go through from start to end.

In case you've been tucked away in a remote island and  don't know what "kiki" is,
check out Scissor Sister's video to find out. I'm tempted to buy a tambourine and jam like del Marquis.

If you'd like to know more about FPAC or how to purchase tickets for the event ($9 per day), head on over to Barangay Los Angeles' website and send them a shout out.
Oh and make sure to stop by Barangay LA's booth!

Tourbillon de Couleurs

Snagged a Tourbillon de Couleurs bracelet for Mr. Accessories (Amado) a couple of weeks ago.
Thought the sentiment fit since it was our 10 year anniversary and Hermes' online store was
also celebrating their decade anniversary.

It originally came with a different pendant shown below but to keep in theme with the special occassion I got a charm with "10" engraved on it for us.

There were three different designs to choose from. Got him the Concours d'Etriers.

San Pedro

Coming all the way from the valley, Amado picked me up from my Aunt's house in Buena Park
and we went off for a drive. Not having anything planned, we decided to go to
White Point and Korean Bell in San Pedro. I used to stay in San Pedro and always like those two spots.
I was a bit nervous but kept my cool or at least thats what I thought I was doing.
Threw in a few questions here and there followed by the casual response "oh cool!" and "awesome!".

That was 10 years ago when Amado and I went on our first date.

I usually cringe at photos of myself but this time around, all I see is how far we've come along.
It hasn't been the easiest 10 years but the good times definitely outweighs the rocky days.

Happy Anniversary!
Terutu..

I swear, I suck at being in front of the camera.

With Amado's mom, who always supported us.

Sticker pictures survived after years being tucked away in my organizer.
Yes, I still have my old organizer.

Photomakers, and what!

Spent New Years Eve at Disneyland.

Juku's first bath at home.

Family Portraits!

One of the many Christmas parties/sleepovers we had with our friends.

Nico's 1st Birthday

I've surrounded myself with enough cousins, nieces and nephews to know that "the first" plays
a big part when it comes to having kids.
First step, first tooth, first word. First birthday is obviously one of the top in that list.

When Josefa asked me to photograph Nico's 1st Birthday party
I already knew how important this milestone was for her and Quinn.
Nico had a safari themed party which his mom spent weeks working on.

The birthday boy was slowly acclimating to all the commotion with the help of some bubbles.

Ummm, Animal Crackers... My faves!

Then it finally sunk in that it was his birthday party.

I just loved this little boy's reaction as he got in the water.

Nico grabbed some grapes straight from the vine while Josefa was arranging the food for the party.
I was tempted to do it myself but the birthday boy beat me to it.

This little boy was determined to break open the pinata. For someone his size he sure could pack up a couple of strong hits.

Josefa trying to cheer Nico up before doing the cake.
This was probably the only time I saw her sit down during the party.

and the lovely Ciccarelli trio.
